Job summary

Sara Lee Frozen Bakery, LLC is seeking a Machine Operator for 2nd/3rd shift in Tarboro, NC. You will set up and operate equipment, maintain line speed, and keep the area clean. You will complete production documentation and follow GMP and safety procedures.

This role requires flexibility, good attendance, and the ability to work 8-12 hour shifts in a cold production environment. Previous experience is not specified; candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work with PPE.

Qualifications

• 3.0 attendance occurrences or less; no more than 1 active disciplinary action.
• Must have been in current position for at least 6 months.
• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Maintain good safety record and GMPs.
• Maintain attendance and housekeeping.
• Work with support groups to start lines on time and minimize downtime.
• Know product specifications and line speeds.
• Be willing to follow oral and written instructions; be flexible.
• Good organization and written skills; general knowledge of computers.
• Willing to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work 8-12 hour shifts; standing.
• Wear PPE (safety glasses, hair/beard net, hearing protection, rubber boots with safety toe).
• Able to withstand cold and hot environments.
• Sweep and clean area during and after shift.
• Cross-train on other areas when needed.

Responsibilities

• Accurately complete all necessary production documentation where applicable.
• Know basic operations of assigned equipment; basic trouble solving techniques.
