Job summary

SIG is seeking a Machine Operator to operate ABM machinery and monitor production lines ensuring high-quality plastic bags are produced safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment and production issues.
  • Strong attention to quality, safety, and detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate ABM machinery safely and efficiently to manufacture plastic bag products according to production specifications and quality standards.
  • Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and make minor adjustments to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Perform routine quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with company standards, customer specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including output, scrap, downtime, and material usage documentation.
  • Support preventative maintenance activities by identifying equipment concerns and communicating issues promptly to leadership or maintenance teams.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies, GMPs, and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional departments to achieve daily production goals and continuous improvement initiatives

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring ABM equipment to safely produce high-quality plastic bag products while supporting production efficiency, quality standards, and team performance.

  • Operate ABM machinery safely and efficiently to manufacture plastic bag products according to production specifications and quality standards.
