Job summary

SIG Group seeks a Machine Operator to support a 12-hour rotating day shift, handling loading/unloading, labeling, and inventory movement to maximize safety and OEE.

We require a high school diploma or GED and a focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork. Mechanical/technical aptitude and strong communication are valued in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work safely and follow policies.
  • Maintain accuracy in reporting and inventory.
  • Flexible to work rotating shifts and multitask.
  • Strong communication with team members.
  • Basic understanding of production lines and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently.
  • Issue parts to work orders using FIFO.
  • Meet hourly/daily production targets on each machine.
  • Label finished parts and move to inventory area.
  • Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform line inspections and assist quality checks.
  • Adapt to different departments per daily production plan.
  • Follow all safety and environmental guidelines.

Machine Operator
Summary Of Role

12 hr. Rotating Day shift

Loads, unloads, and move materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties to maximize safety, quality, and OEE. The Trainer or Supervisor fulfills the responsibilities of this role when vacant.

Key Responsibilities

As an at-will employer, SIG (formerly Scholle IPN) reserves the right to add to or modify this list to the extent it deems necessary.

  • Responsible for lifting, packaging parts and labelling properly.
  • Issue parts to LN Work Orders using the FIFO (First in First Out) method. Also Reporting Lots Complete on the FG parts coming from injection mold.
  • Responsible for meeting the hourly/daily production target on each machine.
  • Apply labels to finished product and migrating them to their designated area of inventory.
  • Responsible for rotating and organizing inventory inside department.
  • Ensure that the machine hoppers stayed filled with correct parts.
  • Pull Assembly samples for the QC laboratory every 4 hours.
  • Visual inspection of parts
  • Ensure 5S & Housekeeping is conducted before, during and after each shift.
  • Follow management Systems, Procedures and Work Instructions
  • Comply with all OSHA, Fire Safety, EPA and other regulatory guidelines and rules.
  • Comply with all Company Operations, Personnel, Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Flexibility to work in various departments according to daily production plan.
  • Perform inspection activities on production line as necessary.
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.

  • EDUCATION:
    • High school diploma or G.E.D required.
  • SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
    • Ability to work safely and follow Regulatory and Company Policies and Guidelines.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Focused on details and accuracy of reporting.
    • Ability to be flexible and multitasking.
    • Positive attitude, cooperative nature, and leadership qualities
    • Able to communicate clearly and decisively to the team members and to next shift.
    • Good understanding of product lines
    • Technical or mechanical skills preferred.
