Machine Operator 1st shift (Temporary Position)

Work Schedule: 1st Shift (M-F 7:00am-3:30pm) This is a temporary position

Starting at $18.00 per hour.

Position Summary: The Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating equipment used in the manufacturing of products. The operator will work with other employees to effectively meet or exceed expectations for product quality and production rates.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to company safety policies and programs such as Personal Protective Equipment, Incident/Injury Reporting, Hazard Communication, and Labeling.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints.
  • Able to locate jobs and set up programs in Laser console.
  • Ensures that goals and expectations are met, and product is being developed on schedule.
  • Locates and acquires needed materials for jobs.
  • Ensures equipment is in optimum working order and reports issues to team leaders.
  • Completes all required paperwork (1st PC Article, WIP, 100% Ready for ISN, and router).
  • Uses calipers and other measuring tools accurately.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform team lifts of up to 75 pounds.
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer information at all times.
  • Keeps a neat and organized workstation for safety and efficiency.
  • Builds strong working relationships within the team and treats each other with respect.
  • Fills out passivation certificates.
  • Differentiates parts when running multiple items using numbering systems.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively with team members.
  • Performs basic troubleshooting, machine error checks, and spot checks of products to ensure quality.
  • Maintains accurate documentation and paperwork, including counts of parts.
  • Immediately notifies supervisor of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge/Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 1-3+ years manufacturing experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing.
  • Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints for setup and operation.
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with others.
