Job Description

This will be a specialized role unique to scrap handling and auditing.

An Interview Will Be Required.

Job Summary:

To operate, troubleshoot, and maintain automated machines to produce 100% quality parts with minimal downtime and waste, in compliance with the Quality Policy.

Major Responsibilities:

• Understand and follow operator instructions on all machines in the area.
• Perform machine and quality checks as per work standards.
• Set up and change over machines, including die, material, and tooling changes.
• Report and assist line keeper in repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain daily charts and 5’S Standards.
• Maintain good communication with team members.
• Stock and inspect needed material.

Minor Responsibilities:

• Effective communication and involvement with related departments to maintain production targets.
• Participation in company activities such as IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001, and Employee Involvement.
• Shift work and overtime may be required.
• May require working with hazardous chemicals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (must meet NC State or Federal requirements).
• Prefer 1 year experience as a machine operator.
• Ability to write and complete employment application.

• Proficient in arithmetic, interpreting charts/graphs.
• Use measuring instruments effectively.
• Communicate process/product problems clearly.

Physical Requirements:

• Constant standing and movement for 8-12 hours.
• Lifting up to 35 lbs.
• Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling.
• Apply up to 66 lbs push/pull force unassisted.
• Reach overhead.
