The Lincolnton, NC Conversion, Customizing, and Packaging Center is located approximately 30 miles from Charlotte, NC. This facility employs over 400 full-time associates in a 5-shift operation, covering 235,000 sq ft with 12,000 SKUs. Job Description

The Punch and Pack Operator runs an automated system that punches and packages sandpaper discs under the direction of the Punch and Pack Specialist III. Responsibilities include supporting changeovers, loading materials, conducting quality checks, and ensuring smooth process flow. Additionally, the operator manages the packaging portion of the machine. Maintaining a positive work environment through adherence to safety procedures is essential. Cross-training to step in as the Specialist III during absences is required.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist in loading rolls of sandpaper onto the machine as needed
• Operate pin lifts, pallet lifts, and hoists
• Assist in machine setup and startup
• Make necessary adjustments to the machine
• Troubleshoot machine issues and assist with repairs per escalation plan
• Follow standard operating procedures and quality standards
• Maintain machine cleanliness and tool organization (5S)
• Adhere to all safety procedures
• Operate the feeding system with clamp beams on an idle conveyor, motorized for efficiency
• Use touchscreen parameters to set material width and minimize waste
• Recall saved machine setup recipes for different configurations
