Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Aerospace CNC Machinist in Auburn, CA. You will operate a 3-4 axis CNC mill, perform precision tasks with micrometers and GD&T, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires safety-first behavior and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs in a regulated manufacturing environment. Relocation assistance is available for candidates outside the Bay Area with a sign-on bonus up to $5,000, plus an additional $1,000 for new hires.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; operate 3-axis vertical mill with 4-axis attachment.
• 2+ years in a machine shop; experience with 3- or 4-axis CNC mills.
• GD&T basic knowledge.
• Micrometers experience.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and wear PPE.
• Aerospace or regulated manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Setup, adjust and operate 3-4 axis CNC mills, grinders and related tooling.
• Make manual adjustments to machine controls to optimize performance.
• Support 5S, KPIs, Standard Work and problem solving initiatives.
• Meet lead times to support customer needs.
• Perform routine maintenance and manage consumables.
• Maintain safe work practices per OSHA and policy.

Essential Functions:

• Setup, adjust and operate any or all of the following machines/equipment used in aerospace manufacturing; 3 and 4 axis CNC Mill, grinders, calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Make manual adjustments to the machine interface and controls, as required, to optimize performance, ensure proper operation, and validate product compliance
• Support Crane Business System (CBS) initiatives including 5S, KPI’s, Standard Work, Problem Solving, and other initiatives as they arise
• Meet and establish lead times to support customers’ needs
• Perform routine maintenance of equipment in respective area of responsibility
• Manage consumables in the respective machines
• Practice safe work habits as established by OSHA and Crane policy
• Any other task assigned by supervisor or management

Non-Essential Functions:

• Generates Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for quality related issues as required
• Create a status report for coworkers on following shift
• Use company intranet and Learning Management System as needed

Onsite Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm.

0-4 years exp= 26-30

4+ years exp= 32-37

Skills and Requirements

• Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent-operating 3 axis vertical mill with 4 axis attachment and grinder attachment
• 2+ years of experience in a machine shop. Experience with a 3 or 4 axis CNC mill
• GD&T basic knowledge
