Job summary

The Hershey Company is hiring a Machine Operator for Edgerton, KS to run automated mixing, baking, packaging and palletizing equipment. You will ensure quality and safety while maintaining productivity, and you will troubleshoot and report issues to minimize downtime.

This role requires attention to detail and teamwork on a fast-paced line. Shifts include 12-hour Day and Night schedules with a competitive starting wage and opportunities for growth, including overtime potential and a shift

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience with automated machinery.
• Troubleshooting machine programs or mechanical problems.
• Proven technical background and expertise.
• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated mixing, baking, packaging, and palletizing equipment.
• Ensure quality standards and maintain safety, sanitation, and productivity.
• Follow machine SOPs/SSOPs and manage setup, changeover, and shutdowns.
• Visually inspect product quality and remove inadequate items.
• Minimize downtime, maximize efficiency, and reduce waste.
• Create and adjust machine recipes; document traceability of materials.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
• Support front-end and back-end production activities as required.
