Job summary

The Hershey Company in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Machine Operator to ensure the proper operation of automated mixing, baking, packaging, and palletizing equipment. You will maintain quality, safety, and productivity while driving continuous improvement on the line.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years with automated machinery, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to multitask and communicate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with automated machinery.
• Proven experience troubleshooting machine programs or mechanical problems.
• Proven technical background and expertise.
• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Follow all FDA health and OSHA safety regulations.
• Create, maintain and follow machine SOPs and SSOPs to keep consistent quality.
• Support safety, quality, sanitation, and productivity standards.
• Complete daily setup, changeover, and shutdown of equipment.
• Visually inspect product quality and reject nonconforming items.
• Maintain machine program recipes and adjust as needed.
• Minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Log materials traceability and production records.
• Coordinate with teammates on the line to meet targets.
• Assist with production line on front or back end as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues for continuous operation.
