Job summary

RTX in Asheville, NC is seeking a production technician to operate and maintain a variety of machines used to manufacture blades and vanes. You will perform routine and complex operations, quality checks, and preventative maintenance to ensure product quality.

You will read process sheets and blueprints, adjust setups as needed, and document measurements. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to 5S, and teamwork in an onsite, alternating shift environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Previous manufacturing experience or education, or Advanced Manufacturing Certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machines to manufacture blades and vanes and perform all quality checks.
• Read and interpret process sheets, gauges, and blueprints; deburr and adjust setups as needed.
• Document check sheets and run data; maintain 5S and TPM; keep equipment clean and in good condition.
• Clock labor in system; perform daily TPM; move within the line and handle materials up to 10 lb.

Job Summary

Operate and maintain a variety of production machines to manufacture blades and vanes, performing routine and complex operations, quality checks, and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machines such as washer, shot peen, furnace, water & air flow, electrode assembly, laser weld, tack weld, laser ablation, tape & wax, x-ray, bake, and detailer.
• Produce blades and/or vanes and perform all quality checks.
• Read and interpret process sheets, gauges, and blueprints; deburr, clean parts, make minor offset changes, and change setups as needed.
• Document information on check sheets, keep dimensional data on run charts, and use measuring devices to assess product acceptance.
• Run all equipment in the entire work loop and produce product per standard work.
• Clock labor in Solumina, perform Daily Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) and document results.
• Maintain a clean work area (5S) and keep equipment in good condition.
• Frequent movement within the machine line to operate equipment; bend, reach, pull, push, and transport products and equipment up to 10 lb.
• Perform other tasks within the scope and skill level of the position as assigned.
