MKS is seeking a Machine Operator 1 in Lawrence, MA to partner with Manufacturing Operations to machine parts to specifications. You will report to the Manufacturing Specialist and support daily production.

Responsibilities include operating a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines, following process sheets, verifying tolerances, and maintaining safety in a lab/production setting. Applicants should have 1+ year of related experience and blueprints reading ability.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related experience required.
• Must be current Temporary Employee at MKS doing the work of Machine Operator 1.
• Requires production experience, basic reading, writing and addition and subtraction skills.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Be able to use a micrometer and caliper.

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Machine Operator 1 at MKS, INC. you will partner with Manufacturing Operations to machine parts to specifications. In this role, you will report to the Manfacturing Specialist.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Operating a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of the company’s product
• Working from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks
• Checking and inspecting operation against predetermined tolerances

Skills You Bring:

• 1+ year of related experience required
• Must be current Temporary Employee at MKS doing the work of Machine Operator 1
• Requires production experience, basic reading, writing and addition and subtraction skills
• Able to read and interpret blueprints
• Be able to use a micrometer and caliper

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination
• Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 50 pounds
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for 80% of the time
• Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level
• Regularly requires manual dexterity and coordination of objects below, at and above shoulder level
• Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
