Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is seeking a Full Time Machine Operator to set up and operate equipment for processing steel. You will work with CAD-guided settings, measure materials, and ensure accurate data and safe operations.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, competitive salary, and paid time off. 2nd shift offers a $3.00 per hour differential.

Qualifications

• Skilled in interpreting CAD drawings, symbols, and notes.
• Ability to read tape measure to within 1/16".
• Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time.
• Must be able to identify different types and weights of steel.
• Possess attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and exhibit a strong work ethic.
• Must demonstrate professionalism and uphold our core values of being customer-centric and problem solvers.
• Experience with CNC machines and/or a brake press is preferred.
• Experience with operating overhead crane is preferred.
• 1st and 2nd shift positions available; 2nd shift adds $3.00/hr differential.

Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the equipment to process steel.

Daily Responsibilities

• Select correct machine settings for optimal burning, drilling, and processing operations.

• Keep and manage an accurate record of daily operations and materials usage.
