Filler Operator Job Description

Position Type: Hourly

Hourly Wage: $25.10

Function: Operations

Summary: Safely operates and maintains Filler Machine to fill and package Capri Sun drink pouches.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with all departments to meet or surpass the plant’s safety goals. Be on a Safety Team as a co-leader or participant.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, Safety, GMPs, and Dress Code policies.
• Start up, operate, and shut down Capri Sun filling, cooling, sealing, straw placing, carton forming, filling, and sealing equipment, Video Jet coder, and conveying systems; perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Monitor mechanical operation, troubleshoot, unjam machines, and notify technicians or Team Lead of issues.
• Check pouch code legibility, weights, temperatures, seal integrity, straws, sanitation points, and perform daily PMs.
• Understand HACCP program and communicate with Filler Utility to ensure adequate packaging materials.
• Maintain good housekeeping, perform mini cleans, CIP, product pushes, and hot flushes.
• Participate in Green Room process improvement meetings and occasionally stay over for second-level green room.
• Operate Quality Suites and OEE downtime programs on computer efficiently.
• Assist filler utility responsibilities as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

This role also includes accountability for QRMP standards per Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP document.

Other Qualifications

Follow GMPs, Hold Tags, HACCP, USDA, and safety policies.

Working Conditions

Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving parts, cold, electrical risk, vibration; moderate noise level. Use PPE including steel toe shoes, hearing protection, bump cap, etc.
