Job summary

Laborup is hiring Machine Operators for a large plastics manufacturing operation. You will run extrusion lines, prepare and start equipment, monitor performance, and coordinate with maintenance teams to keep products within spec.

The role offers rotating 12-hour schedules (days or nights) with overtime built into the shift patterns and a direct-hire, full-time opportunity.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience operating industrial production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience making machine adjustments, changing settings, or troubleshooting equipment during production.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand how machinery and production processes work.
• Ability to read and understand product specifications and work instructions.
• Experience using measuring instruments such as tape measures and calipers.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with plastic extrusion is a plus, but not required.

Overview

We’re hiring Machine Operators for a large, established plastics manufacturing operation.

This is a hands‑on machine operation role responsible for running and maintaining plastic extrusion lines from startup through finished product. Operators work with extruders, downstream equipment, pullers, saws, tooling, and related production equipment while monitoring the process to ensure products remain within specification. Experience with plastic‑specific machinery isn't required.

You’ll prepare and start equipment, monitor line performance, make process adjustments, perform quality checks using precision measuring tools, troubleshoot production issues, and coordinate with maintenance and tooling teams when problems arise.

Shift

• Night Shift: Rotating 4-on / 4-off schedule, 12‑hour shifts
