Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Fabrication Machine Operator to operate advanced fabrication equipment and produce high-quality parts in a safety-first environment. You will read blueprints, set up machines, and monitor production to ensure precision and efficiency.

The role involves reading plans, measuring with calipers, and working with laser cutters, brake presses, saws, and other equipment. This is a full-time, on-site Tea, SD position with weekend-free Fridays and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

Earn $23.31 - $26.00/Hour | 3-Day Weekends Every Week

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM

Shift: Evening Shift

Pay: $23.31 - $26.00/hour depending on experience

We're looking for a Fabrication Machine Operator to operate advanced fabrication equipment, produce high-quality parts, and support a safety-first manufacturing environment. If you enjoy working with machinery, reading blueprints, and building quality products, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate fabrication equipment, including:
• Laser cutting machines
• Brake presses
• Shears
• Saws
• Punch presses
• Flame cutting equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, cut lists, and technical drawings.
• Measure and inspect materials using tape measures, calipers, and other precision tools.
• Monitor production quality and make adjustments as needed.
• Track and record material usage.
• Follow all safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience operating fabrication or manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong math and measurement skills, including fractions and decimals.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, grinders, and saws.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move throughout a 10-hour shift.
• Regular lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, and work overhead when needed.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48484.80 - $54080.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
