Amrize in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Machine Operator to support the pour table and laminator, ensuring quality and efficiency on each run.

You will verify run information, prepare setups from the daily schedule, monitor production metrics, and input data into the system while maintaining a clean, safe work area and following 5S principles. Join Amrize to build North America infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or 1–2 year vocational training/associates degree
• Strong math skills and data entry experience

Responsibilities

• Check the status of equipment in the production operating system.
• Prepare each run according to the daily production schedule.
• Validate batch information and set up.
• Monitor runs for quality and efficiency (e.g., wet density, line speed).
• Adjust equipment settings based on quality feedback.
• Capture production run data (chemicals, downtime, scrap) in the production database.
• Maintain the hour-by-hour production board.
• Maintain the 5S posture of the A-Operator area.
• Other duties as assigned.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Machince Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating the pour table and laminator to ensure the production of high-quality products that meet company standards. This position is responsible for verifying that product run information is accurate prior to production and monitoring key operational metrics throughout the manufacturing process.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Adjusts equipment settings based on quality control feedback.
• Capturing production run information (chemical used, downtime, and scrap reporting) and inputting data into the production data base.
• Maintains the hour by hour board.
• Maintain the 5 S posture of the A-Operator area.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education:

• High School Diploma or or 1-2 year vocational training/associates degree
• Strong Math Skills

Additional Requirements :

• The working conditions include an indoor dusty non-air-conditioned industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment. Subject to temperatures that range from 65 to 90 degrees in the general working environment and hotter in certain areas of the plant. Occasional outdoor activities in hot or adverse weather. Twenty-four hour working environment with multiple shifts and varying schedules.
• This position requires standing for the majority of the shift. Bending, reaching, twisting It also requires occasional operation of a forklift. Must be able to lift up 50 pounds.
