Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Production Technician for its Coalville, Utah facility to maintain and monitor efficient operation of production processes. You will operate front end loader, skid steer, forklift and related equipment while following safety protocols.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic computer skills and the ability to read and speak English. This full-time, hourly position offers competitive salary and comprehensive benefits within Amrize's manufacturing team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Production or other plant related experience strongly desired
  • Knowledge of the aggregate manufacturing process and equipment a plus
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Strong work standards and attendance record
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and work in both hot and cold environments
  • Must be able to work in awkward positions for short periods of time
  • Must be able to work in confined areas and not have a fear of heights

Responsibilities

  • Promote safety by assessing risks, performing only authorized tasks and using PPE.

  • Lubricate, inspect, adjust or repair process equipment as directed.
  • Complete Area Safety Inspection, Mobile Equipment Checklist and other required documentation.
  • Operate rail car loadout.
  • Promote health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Production Technician is responsible for maintaining and monitoring efficient operation of all production processes.

Amrize, the largest manufacturer and distributor of cement and related construction materials currently has an immediate opening for a Production Technician position for its manufacturing facility located in Coalville, Utah.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Practice and promote safety in such way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate PPE.
  • Exercise and encourage core values including but not limited to; developing self and coaching others by inspiration and empowerment
  • Responsible to maintain and monitor efficient operation of all production processes.
  • Make routine operation and preventative maintenance inspections of process equipment, report all unusual conditions, and prepare work orders for maintenance when required.
  • Operate Front end Loader, Skid Steer, forklift various Screening and crushing systems, and other equipment.
  • Monitoring and recording material inventories.
  • As directed, lubricate, inspect, adjust or make repairs to process equipment.
  • Completion of the Area Safety Inspection, Mobile Equipment Checklist and any other documentation as required.
  • Operate and perform duties at rail car loadout.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

Additional Requirements:
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
