Job Summary

The Machine Operator I is responsible for setting up and operating production machines according to established procedures and guidelines. They also secure and maintain materials and supplies required for operation.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete work area setup.
• Operate and feed the machine safely and efficiently, following established procedures.
• Stack completed products as per procedures; if required, cover, label, and band components/finished products.
• Ensure the work area is safe, clean, and organized; confirm equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklists and report issues.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintain production records as required.
• Check materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Follow safety, quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other meetings and programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in manufacturing and/or assembly.
• Basic math knowledge.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
