Our dairy cooperative is seeking a regular, full-time Machine Operator to run the Butter Churn for third shift (11pm-7am). The Butter Churn Operator will operate the butter churn effectively and efficiently to meet production requirements. Understand the process of churning butter and all related equipment. Ensure compliance with state and federal government regulations. Maintain churn facilities in a sanitary manner, including Clean in Place (CIP) washing of equipment, and cleaning of walls, floors, ceilings, light fixtures, drains, and other environmental areas.

Position responsibilities include:

1. Schedule flexibility -- willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and rotate shifts as required based on business needs.
2. Operate, understand, and troubleshoot butter packaging equipment including processing machinery and case packaging equipment.
3. Make machine adjustments to meet required specifications.
4. Operate and set printers to ensure that U.S.D.A.# and “Sell By” dates are correct.
5. Ensure proper packaging is used for each production item.
6. Complete and record necessary information on logs legibly, verifying that all documents are filled out properly and accurately in accordance with Safety and SQF procedures.

Preferred candidates would have current or previous machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in the food industry is a plus.
