Job summary

ALPLA Group is seeking an entry-level line operator at our Saint Peters facility. You will manage start/stop of the extrusion line, perform parison controls, monitor materials, and conduct routine quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.

You will prepare machines for mold changes, document production and any issues, and participate in autonomous maintenance and team-based improvements. Strong safety and housekeeping practices are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical/mechanical background in Plastics Industry preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated mechanical ability.

Responsibilities

• Start / Stop the machine.
• Performs parison controls.
• Monitor material control (weight distribution, regrind levels, tail lengths).
• Performs regular quality control throughout the shift and visual checks.
• Prepare machine for mold change.
• Ensure goods produced meet specifications.
• Accurately records goods produced and problems encountered.
• Line clearance performance.
• Autonomous maintenance activities.
• Assist mold/color changes as needed.
• Work as part of a team.
• Maintain good housekeeping around the machine.

What You Will Enjoy Doing

• Overall line responsibility from production to packaging
  • Start / Stop the machine
