Job description

Job Description:

Pay Range: $16.50/hr - $21.50/hr

1. This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell.
2. Working under close supervision, may perform a combination of assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies.
3. Performs routine assignments according to specified and/or standardized procedures.
4. Work is closely and continually reviewed. Ensure that relevant job documentation for cell operations and functions is accurate and up to date.
5. Be able to clearly communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to all levels of manufacturing management in both written and oral form.
6. Maintain a positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers, such as tours.
7. Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices when performing all operations.
8. Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes, aiming to meet quality and profitability metrics.
9. Maintain accurate records to ensure traveler and quality documents are correct, parts are traceable, and quality issues can be addressed to ensure product quality.
10. Demonstrates a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
11. Assist the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager in setting and monitoring individual goals and cell performance metrics to continually improve operational quality.
12. Support divisional initiatives aligned with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
13. Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
14. Utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages effectively.
15. Prioritize tasks by determining the sequence and timing based on importance and precedence.
16. Handle and maneuver small components and parts safely.
17. Make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
