Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a Machine Operator to join the Operations Team. You will work on automated packaging lines, perform basic maintenance, and help ensure safety and quality in production.

The role offers a start payrate of $26 per hour with a schedule of four 12-hour shifts over three days (Thu-Sat) and occasional Sunday work. You will be part of a team focused on efficiency and product excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for automated packaging, labeling, palletizing or depalletizing of product as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance repairs as needed.
• Engage in problem solving to improve safety, quality, yields and productivity.

Dairy Farmers of America is looking for highly dependable team players to join our staff as a MACHINE OPERATOR at our Mechanicsburg, PA facility. The role of the Machine Operator is to perform as a member of the Operations Team in various functions as assigned that include: Packaging.

Hiring day shift (6:00am - 6:30pm) 12-hour shifts.

Scheduled days are Thursday thru Saturday.

All crews in Production are required to work an occasional Sunday - which are preplanned.

Work (3) 12 hours shifts each week and get paid for 40 hours.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment for automated packaging, labeling, palletizing or depalletizing of product as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance repairs as needed.
• Engage in problem solving to assist in improving safety, quality, yields and productivity.
• Maintain accurate production records that are written, and computer based.
• Review charts, screens, quality check sheets and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks as required to maintain plant equipment.
• Assist with training efforts in functional area as needed.
• Maintain a high level of safety and quality awareness and a high degree of urgency.
• Be a working part of the team.
• Foster teamwork consistent with our company and plant Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
• Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Follows all DFA GMP's and works in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned.
