Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is looking for a dependable SKILLED MACHINE OPERATOR to join our staff as Shift Relief, Back End Relief or Federal Filler. Shifts run on a three 12-hour schedule, Day 6:00 AM–6:30 PM and Night 6:00 PM–6:30 AM, across crews.

You will work 36 hours per week but be paid for 40 hours. Requires a High School Diploma/GED and 1–3 years of manufacturing experience; SAP data entry is part of the role. Email careers@dfamilk.com to apply.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Food & bottling experience preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all required equipment per business needs.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance; input items into SAP.
  • Contribute to safety, quality, yields and productivity improvements.
  • Maintain accurate production records (written and computer-based).
  • Review charts, screens and quality check sheets in hard copy and electronic format.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitation to maintain equipment.
  • Assist with training in functional area as needed.
  • Uphold safety, quality and regulatory standards; follow DFA GMPs.

Dairy Farmers of America is looking for highly dependable team player to join our staff as a SKILLED MACHINE OPERATOR to run as the Shift Relief, Back End Relief or Federal Filler.

Positions available on all Crews.

Shifts are Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Looking for Day Shift and Night Shift.

Day Shift is 6:00AM - 6:30PM/Night Shift is 6:00PM - 6:30AM.

All Crews in Production are required to work an occasional Sunday - which are preplanned.

Work three 12 hours shifts each week and get paid for 40 hours.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Operating all equipment as required per business needs.
  • Troubleshooting, performing minor maintenance repairs and inputting items into the SAP system.
  • Engage in problem solving to assist in improving safety, quality, yields and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate production records that are written, and computer based.
  • Review charts, screens, quality check sheets and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks as required to maintain plant equipment.
  • Assist with training efforts in functional area as needed
  • Maintain a high level of safety and quality awareness and a high degree of urgency.
  • Foster teamwork consistent with our company and plant Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
  • Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Follows all DFA GMP's and works in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ability to learn and apply to plant environment.
  • Be an effective communicator.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
