Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a SKILLED MACHINE OPERATOR to run Retort Equipment on the Day Shift. Positions available on Day Shift with a 6:00AM - 6:30PM window; occasional Sundays may be required, with three 12-hour shifts weekly yet 40 hours paid.

Responsibilities include operating retorts, SAP data entry, and maintaining production records, while upholding safety and quality standards in a fast-paced food & beverage environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing experience required.
• Food & bottling experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Be an effective communicator and able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Operate Retorts.
• Troubleshoot, perform minor maintenance, and input items into SAP.
• Assist in improving safety, quality, yields and productivity.
• Maintain accurate production records in printed and electronic form.
• Review charts, screens and quality sheets.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks to maintain equipment.
• Assist with training in the functional area as needed.
• Maintain safety and quality awareness with urgency.
• Foster teamwork aligned with mission, vision and core values.
• Adhere to safety policies, GMPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Dairy Farmers of America is looking for highly dependable team player to join our staff as a SKILLED MACHINE OPERATOR to run the Retort Equipment.

Positions available on Day Shift.

Shifts are Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

Day Shift is 6:00AM - 6:30PM.

All Crews in Production are required to work an occasional Sunday - which are preplanned.

Work three 12 hours shifts each week and get paid for 40 hours.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Operating Retorts
• Troubleshooting, performing minor maintenance repairs and inputting items into the SAP system.
• Engage in problem solving to assist in improving safety, quality, yields and productivity.
• Maintain accurate production records that are written, and computer based.
• Review charts, screens, quality check sheets and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks as required to maintain plant equipment.
• Assist with training efforts in functional area as needed
• Maintain a high level of safety and quality awareness and a high degree of urgency.
• Foster teamwork consistent with our company and plant Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
• Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Follows all DFA GMP's and works in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned.
