Join Life Fitness / Hammer Strength in Owatonna, MN as a Machine Operator on our 3rd Shift. You will set up and operate production equipment to manufacture components for premium fitness equipment.

Full-time role with a base wage of $19.00–$22.13 per hour plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential on 3rd shift; overtime opportunities and a Production Bonus Plan may apply. On-site fitness center access and comprehensive benefits are included for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hands-on work.
• Commitment to working safely and following procedures.
• Ability to read measurements and blueprints in English.
• Experience with basic production tooling is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform simple setups and operate equipment such as punch presses, saws, drill presses, and tumblers.
• Inspect parts to verify tolerances and specifications.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and keep a clean work area.
• Complete required documentation and records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

• Perform simple setups and operate equipment such as manual punch press, shears, saws, drill press, timesaver, wash, and tumbler
• Inspect parts to verify mechanical tolerances and engineering specifications
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and keep a clean work area
• Complete required documentation
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures, work instructions, and production documentation in English

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical/trade school training in metal fabrication
• Ability to read blueprints
• Knowledge of inspection equipment (calipers, gauges, protractors, tape measure)
• Working knowledge of metalworking
• 1 year of experience in a production environment

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Lift up to 35 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs with assistance
• Repetitive motion
• Noisy environment

Your base wage will be between $19.00 - $22.13 per hour and includes eligibility for overtime. The actual wage offer will be based on qualifications, experience, location, and other relevant factors. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in the Production Bonus Plan, which provides opportunities to earn additional compensation based on performance metrics. Bonus eligibility is subject to meeting certain production goals and other criteria as outlined.This position is eligible for a $2.00 per hour shift differential for hours worked on 3rd shift, in addition to the base hourly wage.
