Position Summary

The Machine Operator / Machinist sets up, maintains, and operates machinery.

Role And Responsibilities

1. Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle.
2. Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
3. Feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines.
4. Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
5. Test machine operation periodically.
6. Fix issues that occur during the shift.
7. Check output for machine-related mistakes or flaws.
8. Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
9. Maintain activity logs.
10. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management; duties may change at any time.

Skills And Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in a skilled trades field preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours a day.
• Overtime opportunities possible.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 35 lbs.
• Pass a drug test and background check.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Must be age 18 or older.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.

• Millwright or Electrician certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment following standardized work and safe practices.
