OpSource has partnered with a manufacturer of a wide range of high-performance nonwovens in Gray Court, SC.

Starting pay rate:

  • Days: $18.59
  • Nights: $18.59 plus $2.00 SD ($20.59)

Shifts available:

  • Days: 7am - 7pm
  • Nights: 7pm - 7am

(12-hour shifts/3 to 4 days per week).

Purpose of the Job

The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for operating machines as part of a team to produce quality finished goods according to customer specifications and performance requirements.

Responsibilities and Authorities
  • Perform set-up, start-up, and shutdown of machines per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Follow all safety and company policies to ensure safe performance of duties.
  • Adhere to the Client's Quality Policy to meet customer expectations.
  • Operate production equipment within specified limits, including SOCs.
  • Monitor raw materials, products, and equipment for defects or deviations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure safe, high-quality operation.
  • Support a constructive team culture and contribute to a positive workplace.
  • Maintain production records and monitor product quality against control charts.
  • Perform site-safety audits as scheduled.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized throughout the shift.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • 3+ years of machine operating experience.
  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate's Technical Degree is a plus.
  • Work Keys is not required but advantageous.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Manufacturing experience, especially in carding, needlepunch, or textile industries.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including keyboarding and Microsoft Office.
  • Basic understanding of SAP/ERP systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player.
  • Forklift operation experience or ability to obtain certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand on concrete for long periods.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work hours as needed, including rotating 12-hour shifts, weekends, OT, and holidays.
