Main Duties & Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Assembly Machine Operator is responsible for operating the assembly and molding machines. The operator troubleshoots minor operating difficulties, including analyzing machine operations, inspecting products, locating troublesome elements within machines, and making necessary adjustments to eliminate quality variations and malfunctions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Judge quality in all aspects.
• Read and understand job orders.
• Complete data entry activities as needed and record production, maintaining records.
• Provide timely and complete communication with team leaders and other impacted operational and functional teams regarding quality or mechanical issues.
• Meet production standards consistently once trained.
• Make minor adjustments to machines to maintain quality standards.
• Inspect and properly pack finished parts.
• Distinguish between different colors and shades of color.
• Detect small defects such as scratches, dents, smudges, etc.
• Compile data related to the performance of production equipment for reporting purposes.
• Check in-process and completed materials for compliance.
