Our facilities include on-site finishing with powder, paint, and graphics capabilities. We serve industries such as OEM Industrial, Healthcare/Medical Device, Aerospace/Defense, Renewable Energy, and Electronics, manufacturing both conventional and technically demanding items since 1952.

Summary

Responsible for operating designated machines, reading and interpreting shop orders to determine production methods and sequence of operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • De-burrs parts before final inspection to print requirements.
  • Operates machines according to set-operator or programming directions.
  • Completes shop orders as defined.
  • Communicates with operators from other shifts.
  • Maintains and secures work tools.
  • Cleans and maintains the work area.
Owner/Manager Interaction
  • Reviews current issues daily with owner and affected personnel.
  • Identifies machinery and equipment deficiencies, forwarding issues to set-up operators.
  • Communicates with set-up operators regarding questions or issues.
  • Verifies parts meet specifications and reports deviations to the Director of Operations or Quality.
Individual Duties
  • Operates all designated machine shop equipment and hand tools skillfully.
  • Works from prints or drawings to produce various items.
  • Sets up machines, seeking assistance from Plant Manager or Owner if needed.
  • Produces items according to prints or drawings.
  • Follows all safety requirements.
  • De-burrs parts to print specifications.
  • Sweeps daily, disposes of scrap properly, and maintains a safe, orderly workplace.
Requirements

Qualifications: Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations will be provided for individuals with disabilities.

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, or 6 months to 1 year related experience or training, or equivalent. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Manual dexterity needed for machinery and computer operation.

  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret operational and maintenance documents.
  • Mathematical Skills: High school level mathematics.
  • Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Skilled in de-burring: Polishing, finishing, inspecting for burrs/surface finish, and preparing parts for CNC or manual finishing.
Physical Demands

Must regularly stand, walk, sit, handle objects, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally talk or hear. Able to lift up to 10 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently, and over 100 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Work near moving mechanical parts, with exposure to non-hazardous fumes or airborne particles. Noise levels may be high; PPE may be required.
