Avery Dennison Reflective Solutions is seeking a Machine Operator for our manufacturing team at the Mt. Prospect, IL plant. This position is on the 3rd shift, from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am.

Compensation: $21.58/hr plus a $2.00/hr shift differential.

Job Responsibilities

The Machine Operator may work in embossing, sealing, or inspection departments. The role involves supporting business needs and working on one of three shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd). Shift hours are:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 pm - 7:30 am

Training will occur on 1st shift, and candidates must complete training before moving to other shifts. Overtime opportunities are available based on business needs.

Activities and duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Perform Six Sigma procedures.
• Read photometric samples.
• Wash and lubricate belts.
• Create shop packets.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workplace.
• Ensure equipment utilization and minimize downtime.
• Address quality issues and make decisions accordingly.
• Use monitoring devices and measuring equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3+ years relevant manufacturing experience.
• Comfortable with computers.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to safety policies.
• Effective communication and positive interaction skills.
• Service and quality-oriented mindset, proactive problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to cross-train and learn new skills.
• Dependability and flexibility to support production needs.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work overtime, including short-notice requests.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience working off-shift hours.
• Willingness to work overtime.
