Job summary

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of multi-purpose metalworking machines (e.g., screw machines, mills, lathes).
• Perform inspection of parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Read and interpret blueprints and dimensional drawings.
• Move stock and containers safely using hand trucks and pallet jacks.
• Adhere to safety programs and plant policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Job description

Operates a variety of machines used in the production of air compressors, valves, clutches and water pumps.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of multi-purpose metal working machines, ie; automatic screw machine, drill press, bore and hone, turret lathe, centerless grinder, air and arbor press, mills, punch press, etc
• Possess excellent math skills
• Perform inspection of parts by use of highly accurate measuring instruments ie; micrometers, dial gauges, calipers, etc
• Read and interpret blueprints and dimensional drawing
• Move stock using hand trucks and pallet jacks
• Move tote boxes, trays, bins and other types of containers as required
• Adhere to plant Safety Program and policies
• Perform counts as required
• Maintain a clean work area, tools, and equipment
• Understand and actively participate in Haldex Way activities
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor
