Job summary

TEXTUM OPCO LLC in Ohio seeks a production worker to operate machinery safely and efficiently, following written and verbal instructions. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, inspecting products, and maintaining a clean, organized work area while following safety policies.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, reads and follows procedures in English, performs basic math, and demonstrates dexterity, organization, time management and problem solving in a manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1 year related experience and/or training.
  • Language: Read and comprehend simple English instructions; write simple English correspondence.
  • Math: Basic arithmetic and measurement reading; read a tape measure.
  • Physical/Ability: Lift up to 50 pounds; stand for long periods; good vision required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Produce assigned products per verbal and written instructions.
  • Complete equipment set-up according to machine and style specifications.
  • Inspect product on cycle and document findings as needed.
  • Maintain clean, orderly and safe work areas; return tools to designated areas.
  • Adhere to all safety, quality and production policies and procedures.
  • Notify management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and/or injuries.

Summary: Operates machinery in a safe and efficient manner by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

  • Wears PPE in accordance with company policy (Steel Toe Shoes & Earplugs).
  • Operates production equipment to produce products in accordance with safety, quality, & projected company goals as related to company expectations.
  • Produces assigned products in accordance with verbal and written instructions.
  • Completes equipment set-up in accordance with machine & style specifications.
  • Inspects product on cycle and documents findings as needed.
  • Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas.
  • Adheres to all established policies and procedures of safety, quality and production.
  • Notifies management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Minimum - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Able to use common fractions and decimals. Should be able to properly read and interpret a tape measure.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
