Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Blow Molding Machine Operator in Lebanon, IN to operate blow-mold machines, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyors. You will troubleshoot process problems and perform minor maintenance to keep the production line running while following Good Manufacturing Practices.

The role requires at least one year of machine operating experience, a mechanical aptitude, and the ability to stand for long shifts on a 12-hour schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate blow-mold machines, including wheels, reciprocating, or shuttle machines, to produce quality bottles and perform audits, weights, and quality checks.
• Adhere to quality control and blow mold process procedures.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on blow-mold and support equipment.
• Make necessary adjustments to meet product specifications.
• Assist with preventive maintenance, mold, neck, and blow pin changes, and other mechanical adjustments.
• Grind excess bottles and material.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process problems.
• Prepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs.
• Prepare and document daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies, and more.
• Participate in general labor work such as loading and unloading machines, documenting quality results, basic cleaning, and scrap removal around the machine.

Work Environment

This role is in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with moving production lines. Operators will be exposed to packaging equipment, conveyors, and automated systems. The work environment is team-oriented, focused on safety and efficiency. Steel-toed shoes are a must-have, while other PPE such as hair nets, beard nets, safety glasses, bump caps, and hearing protection will be provided and are required. Employees must remove fake nails, piercings, and jewelry while on duty.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.60 - $25.60/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
