Machine Operator/Technician

Location: Jacksonville, Florida

Shift: Mon – Thurs, 5:00am to 5:00pm

Pay starts: $19/hr W2 +/- DOE

Job Overview & Responsibilities:

• Operate, troubleshoot, adjust, and maintain injection molding machines and metrology equipment under general supervision.
• Monitor and adjust processes to improve quality and throughput.
• Assist with preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Monitor equipment and process status for new products.
• Perform routine cleaning and non-routine maintenance following all safety policies and procedures.
• Adhere to environmental policies and support department environmental objectives.
• Maintain knowledge of and adhere to FDA, OSHA, GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and equipment/process specifications.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring safety in the injection molding area.
• Perform routine cleaning and clearing of equipment.

Qualifications:

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• 2+ years of maintenance or engineering experience in a high-volume production environment.

Knowledge and Troubleshooting Skills (preferred):

• Process improvement, electro/mechanical devices, safety devices, equipment installation, debugging, and qualification.
• Electro-mechanical troubleshooting/repair, production start-up, equipment process development.
• Mechanical devices control, troubleshooting, CNC machining, use of basic hand tools.
• Flexibility to rotate between day and night shifts.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with office equipment and software: PC, printer, copier, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Physical demands include stooping, crouching, walking, pulling, lifting up to 25 pounds, grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, fingering, climbing. The environment is air-conditioned manufacturing.
