1. Operate assigned machinery, monitor and optimize efficiency, perform basic maintenance, and conduct quality checks.
2. Perform all assigned machine shop operations.
3. Set up and operate machines.
4. Observe machine operations, detect workpiece defects, and make adjustments to improve performance.
5. Operate machinery according to work instructions.
6. Troubleshoot issues, perform routine and minor maintenance, and submit work orders for repairs.
7. Read blueprints or job orders to determine specifications and tooling instructions.
8. Follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisors.
9. Clean machinery and maintain a tidy work area.
10. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions.
11. Maintain safety procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.
12. Assist in other work areas as needed and directed by the supervisor.

Education / Training

• High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant prior work experience.
• Basic mathematical skills and proficiency in reading a tape measure.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude.
