Job summary

Accelera in Franklin Park, IL seeks a reliable Machine Operator for our medical device manufacturing facility. You will operate assembly machinery, follow established training protocols, and produce components that meet strict quality tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage assembly machinery by following established training protocols to produce components that meet strict quality tolerances.
• Swap out raw materials as needed during both initial machine setup and throughout ongoing production cycles.
• Ensure product quality by continuously observing equipment performance and performing necessary adjustments during operation.
• Utilize precision measuring tools, scales, and gauges to verify that all items align with required specifications.
• Execute standard cleaning procedures for all assigned machinery.
• Carry out scheduled routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment in good working order.
• Help maintain the integrity of the production process by strictly adhering to all Quality System policies and procedures.
• Foster effective collaboration by maintaining clear communication with your immediate work group and other staff members.
• Contribute to the overall success of the team by ensuring all work consistently meets high-quality production standards.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by following all established safety protocols.
• Complete additional tasks as requested by management.

Job description

We are offering a pay rate between $20.00 and $22.00 per hour for this role based in Franklin Park, IL. You can choose from several shift options: 1st shift runs Monday through Thursday from 5:00 am to 5:30 pm, 2nd shift is Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 1:30 am, or the weekend shift which operates Friday through Sunday from 5:00 am to 5:30 pm. Please note that the weekend shift consists of three 12-hour days, totaling 36 hours of work while providing pay for 40 hours.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and have at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.

Preferred Qualifications

It is preferred that applicants have a minimum of 3 years of direct experience operating machinery within a manufacturing facility.

Additional Requirements

You must be proficient in using various measuring instruments, scales, and gauges. The ability to produce items in strict accordance with technical drawings and procedures while upholding quality standards is essential. We are looking for individuals who are mechanically inclined and capable of making rapid, effective adjustments to machinery during production. Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented setting are required. Additionally, you must be able to remain standing for extended periods and possess the physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
