Looking for a machine operator in the Culpeper, VA area. Responsible for operating and maintaining machinery to ensure efficient production and high-quality output, often in manufacturing settings. Salary and Work Details

• Salary: $18 - $18.75 per hour
• Shift: First
• Work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
• Education: High School

Responsibilities

As a Production Operator, you will work with raw materials such as fiber optic cables, copper, and steel, using specific machinery to transform these into finished products according to customer specifications. All team members are responsible for safety, quality inspections, organization, and maintaining a clean work area.

This position involves exposure to a manufacturing environment requiring personal protective equipment including steel-toed shoes and safety glasses. Manufacturing areas may be affected by outside temperatures and machining. Must be able to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods (8 hours or more)
• Sit, kneel, crouch, and stoop
• Work with a computer and keyboard
• Hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds (machinery, sirens, alarms)
• Speak to express or exchange ideas and instructions
• Have vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
• Lift up to 50 pounds
