Job summary

Zing Recruiting in Butler, NJ is hiring a CNC Machine Operator for a contract-to-hire position on the 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:30 AM). You will load bar stock, read drawings, inspect parts, set tools, and document results while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, basic math skills, and CNC experience with Haas, Mori Seiki, or Star equipment. Candidates who can work independently and as part of a team are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• CNC operator with practical experience in turning centers.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Good measurement and math skills for accurate part inspection.

Responsibilities

• Operate and load bar stock into multi-axis CNC turning machines.
• Read and follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and production paperwork.
• Inspect parts using calipers, visual comparators, depth micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Ensure parts meet quality standards and engineering specifications.
• Change tools and make machine adjustments and offsets as needed.
• Perform secondary operations, including deburring and part identification stamping.
• Record inspection results, production quantities, and material usage.
• Keep machines, tools, and the work area clean and safe.
• Report machine issues, quality concerns, and potential safety hazards.
• Operate multiple machines while maintaining productivity and product quality.
• Follow all company safety and environmental procedures.

• Work in a manufacturing environment around machinery, metal chips, oils, and forklifts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
