Job Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery used in Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing. This role ensures that machines are running efficiently, products meet quality standards, and production targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation:
  • Set up, operate, and monitor PCBA manufacturing machines (SMT, Reflow Oven, AOI, Wave Soldering, etc.).
  • Load components, PCBs, and other materials onto the machines.
  • Adjust machine settings based on production requirements and specifications.
  • Quality Control:
  • Perform visual and automated inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Identify defects, perform basic troubleshooting, and report quality issues to the supervisor.
  • Machine Maintenance:
  • Conduct routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of machines.
  • Report machine malfunctions or maintenance needs to the maintenance team.
  • Production Efficiency:
  • Monitor machine performance and optimize settings to maximize output.
  • Ensure minimal downtime and assist with quick changeovers for different products.
  • Safety Compliance:
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, output, and defects.
  • Complete shift reports and provide feedback on production improvements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Machine Operator, preferably in PCBA manufacturing.
  • Basic knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes (SMT, Reflow, AOI).
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic mechanical skills and the ability to perform minor machine adjustments.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position in a manufacturing environment.
  • Standing for long periods and exposure to machine noise.
