Job summary

O-I is seeking a Machine Maintenance and Repairman to machine, repair and safely clean maintenance parts for current and future production. You will ensure repairs meet plans and diagrams for each part.

Requirements include 5+ years in industrial maintenance, Journeyman card preferred, PC literacy, and extensive travel, including international travel to Canada and the United States. Hourly wage is $42.33.

Qualifications

• 5+ years maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Journeyman cardholder (Mechanical) preferred.
• Basic PC literacy (Word, Outlook, data entry).
• Extensive travel required, including international travel to Canada and the United States.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Machine Maintenance and Repairman will machine, repair and safely clean the various maintenance parts for current and future production. They will ensure the modifications and repairs carried out comply with the measures specified in the plans and diagrams for each of the repaired parts.

The Machine Maintenance and Repairman should have:

• Experience troubleshooting and performing machine repairs
• Experience with precision measuring devices, such as calipers, micrometers and digital gauges
• Experience using hand tools, such as ratchets, wrenches, screwdrivers and drill press

Maintenance and Repairman will:

• Inspect machines and bottle handling equipment
• Rebuild, repair, recondition and install all machine parts and mechanisms used in the various processes

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
• Journeyman cardholder (Mechanical) is preferred
• Must have basic PC literacy (Word, Outlook, basic data entry)
• Experience with bench repair and welding is a plus
• Extensive Travel is required.
• Must possess and maintain the ability to travel internationally, including entry into Canada and the United States.
