Job summary

O-I in Colorado is seeking a Plant Electro Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment including programmable controls and drives.

The role requires reading complex diagrams, calibrating equipment, monitoring furnaces, and inspecting samples for defects. You will work from blueprints and manuals and perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics and/or mechanical fields
• Experience with AC/DC power distribution, high/low voltage applications, servo systems, PLCs, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical devices
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read diagrams and drawings

Job Description

ThePlant Electro Maintenance Mechanictroubleshoots, installs, maintains, and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, motors, gear boxes, bearings, gauges and test equipment.

The Plant Electro Maintenance Mechanicwill:

• Work from complex blue prints, wiring diagrams, shop and vendor manuals, layouts, and other specifications.
• Calibrate equipment, check furnaces operating condition, monitor glass levels and inspects samples for defects.
• Make minor adjustments and repairs and perform preventive maintenance functions as directed.

The Plant Electro Maintenance Mechanic should have:

• Ability to work in a safe manner and in a team environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to read electrical/electronic diagrams/drawings, and an understanding of computers and related equipment is required.
• Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines, in close quarters and hot areas performing analysis and repair work.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics and/or mechanical fieldsrequired
• Experience with AC/DC power distribution, high/low voltage applications, servo systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s), pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical devices
