Caterpillar Inc. in Sanford, NC is seeking a Machine Loader for 2nd shift. Starting wage is $20.20/hour with an 8% shift premium and a comprehensive benefits plan.

The role involves loading/unloading heavy fabrication components, assisting machinists and welders, and keeping the fabrication area clean. Primary work is Monday–Friday on the 2nd shift. Applicants should have experience with overhead hoists or cranes, be able to lift up to 35 lbs, and maintain safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Position provides fabrications support activities including loading robots and/or machining centers as well as ensuring cleanliness of the area.

As a Machine Loader at Caterpillar, you will:

• Load/unload and position heavy fabrication metal components in holding fixtures using lifting devices
• Assist Machinists or Welders with certain processes
• Maintain Fabrications area in a clean and orderly condition
• Follow documented procedures, standard work, routings and blueprints

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience with Overhead Hoists OR Overhead Cranes

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods
• Willing and able to perform repetitive operation
• Willing and able to lift up to 35 lbs.
