Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Clayton, NC is seeking an Assembler to follow documented procedures, safely assembling and adjusting parts while ensuring defect-free production. You will apply lean manufacturing concepts to support continuous improvement and use power tools and lifting devices to move heavy components.

Typical shift is 1st Shift - Full Time with hours from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, overtime as needed, located in Clayton, NC. Total rewards include Day ONE benefits and potential quarterly bonus.

Description

As an Assembler at Caterpillar, you will follow documented procedures to safely assemble and adjust parts and components while ensuring defect-free production. In this role, you will apply lean manufacturing concepts to support continuous improvement and eliminate waste, and you will use industrial power tools as well as lifting devices to assemble products and move heavy components.

Physical Requirements (with Or Without Reasonable Accommodation)

• Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods
• Willing and able to perform repetitive operations
• Willing and able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds

Basic Requirements

• Minimum of 9 months of previous work experience and/or volunteer experience.
• Resume strongly preferred.

Top Candidates Will Also Have

• Manufacturing experience
• Heavy equipment or machine assembly experience
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, or technical drawings.

Additional Information

Shift: 1st Shift - Full Time

Hours: 6:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday, Overtime as business needs require on Friday

Compensation: $18.00 hourly

Summary Pay Range

$18.00 - $22.40
