Job summary

Caterpillar's Sanford facility in North Carolina is seeking an Assembly Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. You will follow documented procedures to assemble and adjust parts, use power tools, and support lean initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months of previous work experience.
• Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods
• Willing and able to perform repetitive operations
• Willing and able to lift to 35 lbs.
• Prior experience with hand tools or power tools.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Heavy equipment machine assembly experience.
• Previous work experience operating an electric hoist to lift more than 35 lbs.
• Proven track record of good attendance and work history.

Responsibilities

• Follow documented procedures to perform safe and defect-free assembly and adjustment of parts and components.
• Leverage lean manufacturing concepts to support continuous improvement and waste elimination.
• Use industrial power tools for assembly and lifting devices to move heavy components.
• Be held accountable for completing standard work within the allotted cycle time (approximately 3-15-minute cycle time).
• Cross-train across work areas and ability to learn new work areas.

Shift Schedule:

• 3rd Shift: Sunday night-Friday morning 10:15 pm - 6:15 am (Boone Trail)

• 3rd Shift Starting Pay: $19.44 hour (includes 8% premium)

As an Assembler at Caterpillar you will:

Summary Pay Range:

$18.00 - $22.40
