Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Machine Loader in Sanford, NC. The role involves loading and unloading heavy fabrication components, assisting machinists or welders, and keeping the fabrication area clean and organized. Overtime may be required.

Starting pay is $20.20 per hour with 8% shift premium for 2nd/3rd shifts, plus a comprehensive benefits package starting Day 1. Resumes encouraged; no relocation benefits.

Caterpillar is looking for candidates that want to build a career. Position includes a starting wage of $20.20/hour (+ 8% Shift Premium for 2nd & 3rd Shifts), quarterly goal sharing program and a comprehensive benefit program that begins on Day 1.

Shift Schedule

1st Shift: Monday-Friday 6:15 am - 2:15 pm

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 2:15 pm - 10:15 pm

3rd Shift: Sunday night-Friday morning 10:15 pm - 6:15 am

Overtime as business needs require.

Starting Pay Rates

1st Shift: $20.20/hour

2nd & 3rd Shifts: $21.82/hour (includes 8% shift premium)

This position provides fabrications support activities including loading robots and/or machining centers as well as ensuring cleanliness of the area.

As a Machine Loader At Caterpillar, You Will

• Load/unload and position heavy fabrication metal components in holding fixtures using lifting devices
• Assist Machinists or Welders with certain processes
• Maintain Fabrications area in a clean and orderly condition
• Follow documented procedures, standard work, routings and blueprints

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with Overhead Hoists OR Overhead Cranes

Physical Requirements (with Or Without Reasonable Accommodation)

• Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods
• Willing and able to perform repetitive operation
• Willing and able to lift up to 35 lbs.
