The Team:

Our Machine Learning, Personal Loan Underwriting team focuses on leveraging machine learning for underwriting models that determine credit decisions. This role involves collaboration with Research Scientists, Data Scientists, and engineering teams to build and improve our models, impacting the company's performance.

Responsibilities include:

• Enhancing ML productivity through better software and infrastructure.
• Reducing the time from idea to production to improve credit access.
• Designing algorithms to improve model predictive power.

How You’ll Make An Impact:

• Building workflows and automation to enable scientists to focus on high-leverage tasks.
• Developing a roadmap for engineering improvements.
• Exploring new algorithms and methodologies.
• Collaborating with other engineering teams to build high-quality systems.

Qualifications:

• PhD in a quantitative field with 0+ years of experience, or
• Master's in a quantitative field with 2+ years of experience, or
• Bachelor's in a quantitative field with 4+ years of experience.

• Experience in Python.
• Experience with Machine Learning.

Position Location: Remote within the U.S.

Travel: Minimal; occasional in-person meetings once or twice per quarter.
