Job summary

Progressive Surface, Inc. is seeking a Machine Lead Operator to manage grit blast and thermal spray machinery and automation in the Process Services Department.

You will lead setup, troubleshooting, and training, while ensuring parts are processed accurately and efficiently. The role requires leadership experience, CNC familiarity, and strong knowledge of manufacturing procedures; driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• GED or equivalent required.
• Two years of leadership experience required.
• Computer literate with basic manufacturing software.
• Materials knowledge and usage experience.
• Manufacturing procedure background; CNC experience preferred.
• Print reading skills.
• Ability to follow written, oral or diagram instructions; problem solving with multiple variables.
• Valid state driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to obtain HiLo Certification.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Shift Supervisor.
• Support and engage in process Improvements.
• Perform machine setup and fixturing change overs
• Proven experience trouble shooting machines.
• Experience making adjusting to manufacturing equipment to make parts.
• Operates all machines to process parts.
• Simple inspections.
• Train people on equipment and processes.
• Equipment preventative maintenance and repair.
• Fills in for Shift Supervisor.
• Support Material Handling.
• Load and unload trucks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
