Job summary

CJ Schwan's Company, a U.S. affiliate of CJ CheilJedang, is seeking a full-time third-shift production role at our New York facility.

The position emphasizes 80% production and 20% sanitation, with starting pay of $20.75 per hour plus a $1.50 per hour shift differential and opportunities for advancement. Qualified candidates should be 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent and 0–1 years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 18+; 0–1 year experience preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and physically active.
• Operate machines safely with minimal supervision; lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment with simple functions.
• Set up and pre-run equipment for proper startup.
• Control line speeds, batch formula, production rates, start/stop equipment.
• Complete various quality checks.
• Clean floors, fixtures, and walls as needed to maintain a neat appearance.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment as directed.
• Follow sanitation schedules and document routine cleaning.
• Use and document chemical concentrations for cleaning.
• Verify chemicals and concentrations and ensure passes of micro indicator tests.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
• Complete required paperwork (downtime, HACCP, SAP, SOPs, safety) as appropriate.
• Conduct oneself per company policies and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the operation of manufacturing equipment with simple functions
• Setting up and pre-running equipment to ensure proper production startup
• Controlling of line speeds, batch formula, production rates, starting and stopping equipment, and overall product elegance and safety
• Completing various quality checks
• This position is responsible for cleaning the floors, fixtures, and walls using standard cleaning supplies as needed to maintain a neat appearance.
• Disassembling and reassembling equipment as directed
• Following sanitation schedules to conduct and document routine cleaning of the facility and production line
• Using and documenting chemical use to stated concentrations and for appropriate applications
• Verifying and documenting that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and that cleaning and sanitizing is complete to deliver equipment and infrastructure that is clean and passes all micro indicator test
• The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including but not limited to bump cap, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, hair and beard nets, gloves and safety shoes or rubber boots
• Completing all required paperwork (for example: downtime, HACCP, etc., utilizing SAP, SOPs, Safety operation, training, as appropriate)
• Conduct yourself in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct
