Job summary

CJ Schwan's is seeking a production operator for a full-time, second shift (D Crew) position in Salina, KS. You will manage line speeds, batch formulas, production rates, and equipment operation while ensuring safety and quality across the production line.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 5+ years of experience. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand on concrete, and work in hot or cold conditions; SAP/SOPs experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a production/manufacturing setting.
• Operate multiple machines safely with minimal supervision and meet production specs.
• Able to perform physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs) and work in hot/cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Control line speeds, batch formula, production rates, and equipment startup/shutdown.
• Perform quality checks to ensure product standards.
• Complete downtime, HACCP, and other required paperwork.
• Utilize SAP and SOPs in daily production tasks.

Starting Pay: $23.50 per hour
Additional $2.00 shift differential from 3 p.m. -- 6 a.m.
Shift: 2nd - D Crew (every other Wednesday through Saturday)
Hours: 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.

What You Will Do

• Control line speeds, batch formula, production rates, starting/stopping equipment, safety, and overall product elegance.
• Performance of quality checks.
• Completes all required paperwork (for example: downtime, HACCP, etc.)
• Utilize SAP and SOPs as appropriate.

What You Will Bring

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Ability to operate multiple machines safely with minimal supervision and obtain necessary production specifications.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform physical activities (Lifting up to 50 lbs., and bending, carrying, pushing, pulling and other activities as needed).
• Ability to stand on concrete and work in hot and/or cold temperatures.
