Job summary

Hood Container Corporation in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Machine Feeder - Hand Labor to support daily machine crews. You will set up the pre-feeder, mount plates, feed blanks, and monitor boards while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

This role requires teamwork, physical stamina, and willingness to work overtime and weekends. There is potential to advance toward Assistant Machine Operator and then Machine Operator as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• Possess necessary reading and writing skills.
• Able to read a ruler and perform simple fractions.
• Work overtime as needed to meet production requirements.
• Maintain an acceptable attendance and punctuality.
• Work in a hot atmosphere and on stairs to machine platforms.
• Demonstrate initiative and contribute to process improvements.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up the pre-feeder, mount printing plates and setup deliver sections.
• Feed blanks into machine.
• Monitor boards feeding into machine and adjust as needed.
• Maintain acceptable quality guidelines and productivity.
• Record hours/quantities in the system as required.
• Support machine crews and assist in printer setup as needed.
• Keep the work area clean and safe; comply with safety rules.
